Getting Started
What is LimeCall?
LimeCall answers, qualifies and books your inbound calls, and calls website visitors back in about 28 seconds while they are still on the page. It is three products in one workspace: an AI receptionist, a website callback widget, and virtual phone numbers.
How do I install LimeCall on my website?
Paste one line of JavaScript before the closing body tag. No plugin, no build step, nothing to deploy. The widget works the moment the snippet is live, and you can restrict it to specific pages from the dashboard.
Do I need technical knowledge to use LimeCall?
No. Installing the widget is a copy and paste, and everything else — greeting, routing, business hours, qualification questions — is configured in the dashboard.
AI Receptionist
What does the AI receptionist actually do?
It answers instantly and holds a natural conversation, 24/7. It answers questions from your business details, asks your qualification questions, then acts on the answer: sales-ready callers are transferred to a live rep or booked straight into your calendar, and everyone else has a message taken and a callback scheduled. Every call is transcribed and summarised afterwards.
Can I hear it before I sign up?
Yes. Call +1 (620) 675-7782 and the AI receptionist answers — the same agent our customers run, not a recording. You can also have it call your own phone from the demo page, which takes about a minute.
What happens when a caller needs a real person?
The AI hands off to your team with the context it has already gathered, so the caller does not start again. You decide what triggers the handoff: an explicit request, a qualifying answer, or a topic the AI should not take. Outside business hours, or when nobody picks up, it takes a message and schedules a callback instead.
How many calls can the AI handle at the same time?
Starter handles 2 AI calls at once, Growth 5, and Scale 10; Enterprise is sized to your volume. Concurrency is per account, so a busy hour is answered in parallel rather than queued.
What counts as an AI minute, and what if I run out?
AI minutes are consumed while the AI is on a call. Calls placed in the browser never use phone minutes. Past your plan allowance, extra AI minutes are 35¢ on Starter, 28¢ on Growth and 20¢ on Scale, with phone minutes at 10¢, 7¢ and 5¢. You are emailed as you approach the limit, and upgrading mid-month raises the included allowance instead.
How does the AI trial work?
The AI trial is 20 AI minutes or 7 days, whichever comes first, and it starts when you configure and activate the AI rather than at signup — so none of it is spent while you are still setting up. This is separate from the 14-day plan trial.
Callback Widget
How does the 28-second callback work?
A visitor clicks the widget and enters their number. LimeCall rings your available reps and the visitor at the same time, then bridges the two the moment someone answers — about 28 seconds from click to hello, while the visitor is still on the page.
Can I schedule callbacks for later?
Yes. A visitor can pick a time instead of asking for an immediate call, and the request is routed when that slot arrives. Outside your business hours the widget offers scheduling rather than an instant call, so nobody clicks it and hears nothing.
Can I record calls?
Yes, on all plans, and it can be switched on or off per number. Recordings are stored with role-based access and configurable retention, and an announcement can be played where consent is required.
Phone Numbers
Does LimeCall support virtual phone numbers?
Yes. Buy local, toll-free or mobile numbers and point them at the AI receptionist, your team, or both. Some countries require an address or identity documents before the regulator will release a number; those requirements are shown before you pay, not after.
Which countries can I get a number in?
Around 25 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and much of Western and Central Europe. Each country page lists the number types available there and any documents its regulator asks for.
Does LimeCall support international calls?
Yes, to and from 50+ countries. Per-minute rates vary by destination and are published on the pricing page. Which countries you can dial out to depends on your plan and account standing.
Can I bring a number I already own?
Yes, porting is supported. Send the number and your current carrier details and we will confirm whether it can be ported and how long it should take — which is usually set by the losing carrier rather than by us.
Sales & Integrations
Does LimeCall integrate with my CRM?
HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho CRM connect directly, and Zapier, Make and n8n cover the rest. Calls, recordings, transcripts and AI summaries are written to the contact record, so reps see the conversation without leaving the CRM.
Does LimeCall support WhatsApp?
Yes, alongside SMS. The AI text agent answers on both channels using the same knowledge as the voice agent.
Can I send SMS messages with LimeCall?
Yes, from your LimeCall numbers, including automatic follow-up after a call. Sending to US numbers requires 10DLC registration before messages deliver reliably.
Is there a mobile app for LimeCall?
Yes. Reps can take and place calls from the app, so callbacks still reach them away from a desk.
Does LimeCall have an API?
Yes. A REST API covers creating callbacks, reading call data and managing contacts, authenticated with a key from your dashboard. Webhooks push call events to your own systems as they happen.
Pricing & Billing
How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no card is required. Sign up, install the widget or point a number at the AI, and start taking calls. The AI receptionist has a separate allowance of 20 AI minutes or 7 days, whichever comes first, beginning when you activate the AI rather than at signup.
Can I cancel anytime, and can I get a refund?
Cancel anytime from your dashboard in one click — no phone call, no notice period — and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. A refund is available within 14 days of purchase, provided you have used under 30 minutes and no phone number has been assigned to your account. Numbers outside the US are non-refundable.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Annual plans can be paid by bank transfer — contact sales for details.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Annual plans include 2 free months, roughly a 17% saving against monthly, and you can switch to annual at any time from account settings.
What happens if I exceed my call minutes?
You are emailed as you approach the monthly limit. Additional minutes are then billed per minute — 35¢ AI and 10¢ phone on Starter, 28¢ and 7¢ on Growth, 20¢ and 5¢ on Scale. Upgrading mid-month raises your included allowance instead.
What is the time limit per call?
There is no fixed cap on a single call. Calls draw on your plan allowance for their full length, and once that is used the per-minute overage rate for your plan applies.
Privacy & Security
Is LimeCall GDPR compliant?
Yes. LimeCall is GDPR compliant for EU customers and follows the applicable data protection rules elsewhere. Recordings are stored securely, access is role-based, retention periods are configurable, and we sign DPAs with business customers on request.
Where is my data stored?
With major cloud providers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Recordings and transcripts sit in access-controlled storage, and retention is set by you rather than fixed by us.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Delete recordings, contact data or the whole account from the dashboard at any time. Deleted data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Reliability
What is LimeCall's uptime SLA?
LimeCall targets 99.9% uptime on redundant infrastructure with automatic failover. Enterprise plans include enhanced SLA commitments.
What call quality can I expect?
HD Voice (wideband audio) where the connection supports it. Browser calls need roughly 1 Mbps up and down per simultaneous call. The dashboard flags calls with quality problems so you can trace them to a network issue.
